While many small towns and attractions in Western NC have been impacted by Hurricane Helene, there are still plenty of other beautiful locations in the NC mountains open and welcoming visitors. Be sure to check with individual businesses before booking travel.

We still recommend postponing non-essential travel to much of Western NC. Please travel only to areas requesting visitors. Together, we can keep our roads safe and support our community’s recovery.
